This is it! Yesterday was my very last day that I was 28 years old on the 28th of a month. And today is my only birthday in which my age matches the day of my birthday. It’s the 29th of September and you can guess how old I am now. That’s apparently called your “crown birthday”. And I’m holding it high!
Today is also day 1 of the last 365 days of my twenties. I always thought that turned 30 wouldn’t matter to me, but somehow it does. But not in the usual sense and pressure of society. There’s something deep within me, that drives me to make this year extraordinary special. Though in my life that’s quite hard to measure, as all of my last 5+ years have been extraordinary, topping each other year by year. So just topping my last year, won’t be a big enough challenge. Here’s what I wrote about this yesterday on Facebook:
So what am I gonna do to make this year beyond special?
Great question. And here’s my answer.
Putting these goals together has been challenging for me, as I first had to find more clarity about who I am, what interests me the most at the moment and where do I want to take things. Coming from that perspective I put together the following list, always reminding myself that the actual way is more important than the goal. I know many ways to reach my goals, but the way I’ll achieve them matters more to me than the actual achievement. This is incredible important. I am who I am today, because I’ve developed a thirst to support life in every form. A drive to make a difference. A passion to give. And a personality that does things with love and by example. My highest values include integrity and truthfulness. Everything I do in my life, the world has promise, is done aligned with what I’ve just written. But by far, I’m not perfect. Life is our teacher, and we are students, until the very last day of our lives.
Designing the future
One of the greatest teachings I learned during the last couple of years is the fact that we are the architects of our life. We have a great amount of control over the future, as we are given the tools to design it. But most of the world has forgotten. Or wanted us to forget. But as I’m living my life outside conventional society, I am able to see the change happening. And it’s truly exciting. More and more people take back control over their lives and with that, control over the future of our all lives and the planet.
Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.
― Albert Einstein
Using our creative mind, our imagination, allows us to birth dreams into reality. Our minds are capable of creating a future memory, a moment in time that didn’t happen yet. And we can be in that moment, experience what it feels like, in every tiny detail, by closing our eyes and using our imagination.

That future memory then becomes a moment in time that we are working towards. It’s not just a goal written on a piece of paper, it’s something real. Something we can feel. And because of that, it gives us tremendous drive and supports us every day in our decisions. In fact, making decisions becomes much easier, because it puts on the right kind of filters in our minds. And these filters let through only things that align with our goal, that bring us closer towards it, that align our thoughts with our actions.
But, there’s only so much we can do, and the remaining part are things we don’t have control over. And that’s okay. I’ll say it again. That’s okay. Anything that lies outside of our control, also happens for a reason. Everything does. And the one thing you always and forever have control over, is how you react.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
― Charles R. Swindoll
These are also the teachings of Buddha. It’s not the situation itself, but how you react to it. Accept everything that that lies outside of your control, and take charge of everything that lies within.
The only body we’ll ever have
Lastly, I’m chaining our focus from the mind to the body. As it is the vessel we are given to live our lives. And it is the only one we have. It’s a biological supermachine that runs on fuel that we call food. But it doesn’t just run on food, it also incorporates the food we feed it. Our cells are constantly replaced by new ones. And the better we feed ourselves, the better is the overall construct of our bodies. Keeping it strong and healthy is our duty, as Buddha said. Honoring it is our lifelong task.
Now that I’ve written SO much, it’s about time to release my goals. Though I guess many of you might have scrolled here first anyways. So here we go. They are numbered by priority. This helps to make sure your greatest focus and energy is on your priorities.
My 365 days goals: Project #FF29 (Financial Freedom while I am 29)
- Financial Freedom. Net worth of US$ 1 Million or the equivalent to todays value, in case of hyperinflation. But remember, money is just a tool. Though I know that achieving this goal means that I’ve impacted thousands of lives. Additionally it will give me another level of freedom that will allow me to incredibly widen my overall impact. And that matters. (measurable goal)
- Bestselling Author. Written a minimum of 365.000 Words (1000 per day) and publish a book. I love writing. And I love sharing my thoughts and teachings. And it’s time to get serious about it. Also it supports my first goal. (actionable goal)
- Extraordinary health and body shape. This is up here, because I want to make sure I keep holding it as priority. We can easily get hung up into other goals and let go of our health. For me that’s a no-go.
- Truly impact 1 life every month. Something I am doing naturally, and additionally it could support my first goal when I grow my impact as coach/ mentor or advisor. (actionable goal)
- 500k followers on social media. This should happen mostly organically and will support my first, second and fourth goal, thus greatly widen my overall impact. (measurable goal)
So that’s it. And just to assure you how serious I am about these. My last days already started with yoga, exercise, writing 1000 words and
SoulCircus travel withIN online (21 day life-changing coaching program with daily conference calls). These are todays 1000 words btw. 😉 And now it’s time for a healthy breakfast!
Step by step you get ahead.
“The most important thing in life is to stop saying ‘I wish’ and start saying ‘I will.’ Consider nothing impossible, then treat possiblities as probabilities.”
― Charles Dickens
