“The factory of the future will have only two employees, a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to keep the man from touching the equipment.” – Warren G. Bennis, University of Southern California professor of business administration; adviser to Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy

Just got this from Tim Ferris’s “5-Bullet Friday” email. Made me laugh, especially as I’m reading “Abundance – The future is better as you think”.

Fact is, we are living in the best time of human history. There’s never been a better time to be alive and that includes everyone on this planet. Since beginning of human history, we’ve the highest life expectancy, best communication, fastest transportation, highest efficiency = highest amount of free time, best political stability with 70% democracy = highest level of freedom, smallest child death rates, least poverty, least hunger, least war and so much more..

We are developing exponential fast and it’s hard to comprehend that a child with a smartphone in rural Kenya today, has better access to information then the president of the United States just 15 years ago had.

Forget about the bad news and focus on the millions of incredible solutions that make this world a better place, every single day. Keep doing your part, no matter how small it is.

Now go and have a super weekend with the knowledge that you are one of the luckiest humans that has ever been alive till today!
